  1. LODGING

    For those interested in lodging:

The room is a cozy house-shaped cabin situated inside of a converted textile factory.  It’s half a block away from the L train and just two blocks away from Bogart Street, which has come to be a hub and a starting point for visitors to Bushwick.  Galleries, great bars and cafes, 24-hour natural food stores, and some of the best restaurants and taco joints in Brooklyn are located within walking distance.  The L train will take you to Williamsburg in 10 minutes and Union Square in 15 minutes.

The apartment and studio is an open, light-filled space with exposed brick walls, hardwood floors, and high ceilings and is located in a building filled with mostly young creative professionals and artists.  Besides the bedroom, you have a nook outside the cabin with a small table and some plants, and you are of course welcome to make yourself at home in the main space, which consists of a living area and kitchen.  You also have access to the rooftop, with beautiful 360-degree views of the Manhattan skyline and all around Brooklyn and Queens.

In the mornings, we provide fresh fruit, coffee or tea, and other breakfast items such as yogurt and granola.  If you have any dietary restrictions, please let us know.

It is important to note that the apartment is situated in a creative but still industrial neighborhood, which we love, but is not for everybody.  As of right now, there is also one (friendly) cat living in the space, so it may not be appropriate for those with allergies.

The apartment has been published in several magazines and design blogs (including Fast Company, Readymade, designboom, and inhabitat), and is a great option for any design-minded or otherwise curious individuals seeking a unique and genuine place to stay in New York.  To book, please visit A Cabin in a Loft on airbnb.
