  1. HOUSE RULES

    Hours

Check-in is flexible.  Please let me know when you plan to arrive in New York.

    Check-out is by noon.

General house hours are 8 am to 11 pm.

    Quiet time after 11 pm.

    Cleaning

The host will provide clean linens and towels.

There are toiletries available for guest use in the bathroom.

The host will change the sheets and refresh towels once a week.

An additional cleaning fee of $15 will be charged for fresh sheets/towels if they are changed more than once a week.

    Breakfast

Breakfast will be provided every morning.  This includes fresh fruit, coffee or tea, yogurt and granola, and sometimes a hot one.

    Guests

Couples are welcome.  Please arrange ahead of time.  An additional fee will be charged for cleaning, maintenance, and breakfast costs.

    Otherwise, no overnight guests, please!

    Safety, etc

    No drugs

No smoking (please smoke on the roof or outside the building)

    No pets

The host is not responsible for any injury or damage incurred during your stay.  Please be prepared to provide two emergency contacts and photo identification in case of emergency.

    Security Deposit

There is a refundable security deposit of $300.  For stays one month or longer, a one-month security deposit is required.

    Boo

is the name of the cat.  There is a cat!

    Transportation

The nearest subway is the L train at Morgan Avenue.

Nearest buses include the B57 and B60.

Car services are available as well; numbers are posted in the apartment.

There is plenty of street parking.  Just watch for street cleaning days, when you’re not allowed to park on certain streets at certain times.  I would recommend parking on the busier streets.

There are several zip car sites within walking distance.

    Arrival from the Airport

Car or taxi service is the most expensive option but will take you directly to the door.  Taxis (yellow) tend to be cheaper than private car companies (black).  Don’t forget to tip.

Shuttles can be arranged ahead of time with SuperShuttle.com.  This is a van that picks up and drops off several different people door-to-door but is a cheaper option than private car.

By public transportation, from JFK, you can take the Airtrain to the A train.  Change at Broadway Junction to the L train (toward Manhattan) to Morgan Ave.

From LGA, it’s really best if you take a car or taxi.

From EWR, you can take a bus to Port Authority, and then the A/C/E train downtown to 14th Street.  Transfer to the L train toward Brooklyn, and get out at Morgan Ave.

From EWR, you can also take the NJ Transit train to Penn Station and take the 1/2/3 or A/C/E train to 14th Street.  Transfer to the L train toward Brooklyn, and get out at Morgan Ave.

You can also check Hopstop.com for step-by-step directions.

    Recommendations

We have many recommendations for restaurants, bars, cafes, etc. nearby.  Just ask!
